Radamel Falcao has been training in blackout, minimalistic football boot this last week and with both Reus and Greizmann in resembling models, they could very well be testing a new prototype from PUMA.

It has its advantages being an international star – just ask Falcao, Reus and Greizmann, who all trained in a new, blackout prototype from PUMA. Does it look exciting? HELL YEAH IT DOES! From what we can derive it looks like a boot designed for speed, as it is made with a low profile, is tight fitting and looks to have a thin, torsion bar-reinforced sole.

Judging by Falcao’s prototype the upper also looks to be a relatively supple material, which is supported by a net-like construction on the mid-foot. At the same time the stud-configuration under the heel looks very interesting and if our eyes aren’t deceiving us, it looks like there are just three studs… PUMA haven’t given any official word on the model yet, but we are really looking forward to seeing what other tricks they have up their sleeves.

We wouldn’t be surprised, if PUMA turned out to have an ace in the hole, in the fight for lightweight supremacy. The evoSPEED 1.3 has been around for some time now and with the German brands love for lightweight boots and their never ending pursuit of innovation, it wouldn’t shock us if they brought something truly groundbreaking to the table once again.

What do you think Falcao is training in – is it the next generation of PUMA evoSPEED, or something completely new from the German visionaries? Share your thoughts with us in the box below.
