While we previously zoomed in on Nike’s attack minded boots, we now zero in on the boots that bind the defenders and strikers together. They are the brains behind the beautiful game. They see the opportunities before anyone else. We are naturally talking about one of this year’s biggest innovations: Magista Obra.

The Magista Obra was Nike’s first step in a new direction, when it was released in April of this year, as the replacement for the CTR360-collection. And in this very short span of time, it has had a massive impact and been on an impressive journey. No other boot can say they were responsible for the match winning goal in the 2014 World Cup final that honour is taken by the Obra. Now the innovative boot can also include this enthralling design on its CV, with this brilliant Shine Through model.

You can pre-order the Nike Magista Obra Shine Through from today. So go crazy!

The Magista Obra must be one of the Nike silos that can relate to the Shine Through concept the most. On top of being inspired by the Brazilian atmosphere around New Year’s, the design is a duel between contrasts. The daring and stylishly clean, the rebellious and the classic. This is exactly the picture one has of players like Andres Iniesta, Mario Götze and David Luiz.

All these different elements make the Magista Obra an optimal playmakers boot. First and foremost Nike have introduced the innovative Dynamic Fit Collar, to give you the feeling of your boot being just an extension of your leg. This allows Nike to remove all unnecessary distractions, like the boot tongue. This gives the creative players the best prerequisites for moving freely, without anything bothering their play.

On the upper Nike have created a very special texture, which they have been able to achieve through the combination of Flyknit and NikeSkin. In practical terms this gives you unique friction between the boot and ball. On the visual level this adds even more opportunities to make ever more unique designs, which we have seen on every colourway released for the Magista. This time round Nike have chosen to keep things stylish with an upper that is entirely white, only broken up by the coloured Nike Swoosh and black Dynamic Fit Collar.

The Neon Green sole is made with a combination of nylon and PEBAX to give a good balance of support and flexibility. As a creative player it is especially handy to move as smoothly as possible, while still having the support you need to stay on your feet, when performing quick changes of direction. This need is also tended to by the conical studs, which give you even more natural movement, when the studs penetrate the ground.
