Like a match made in heaven! adidas and Porsche are two brands that very much share the same vision and now they collaborate to create a new Limited Edition boot.
Made as a part of the ever growing adidas Limited Collection the new adidas Porsche Design Sport 16 is a celebration of the two brands dedication to premium engineering and high performance - no matter if we are talking about the football pitch or the racetrack.
The football boots are inspired by the two equally timeless silhouettes of the Porsche 911 supercar and the adidas Copa Mundial super-boot. You can quite clearly see both designs influence the new football boot, which incorporates both the incredibly sleek look of the 911, as well as the elegant materials we know from the Copa Mundial.
With the boots being inspired by the legendary Copa, the upper is naturally made from a full piece of the finest kangaroo leather money can buy. However, unlike on the Copa Mundial, adidas have taken things a step further and provided the upper a never-before-seen surface treatment, which provides a unique brushed satin-metal finish. The upper treatment gives the boots the unmistakable look of a certain supercar - can you guess which one?
If you flip the boots on their head you’re greeted by a familiar sight, because the outsole is the same as the one we see on the Messi 15.1 boots. The aggressive soleplate has since its introduction been very, very well received and hailed as one of the best available, so it’s no wonder the two collaborating brands agreed upon that.
Only 1500 pairs of the Limited Edition adidas Porsche Design Sport 16 will be made available worldwide, which only further raises the exclusivity of what I could already imagine is going to be a pretty sought after boot for collectors.
