It’s as if the colours never stop coming! Just when you thought Adidas would take a short break, with the launch of their new Crazylight, they bring out a brand new colourway update for their Adidas F50 Adizero – Glow/Earth. The new boot definitely brings with it the bright colours, which we always connect with the F50-collection.

With the World Cup just around the corner, Adidas have really turned things up a notch with their recent launches of football boots. A number of new collections, the new samba colours, Messi’s new signature boot, the Samba Primeknit and this Monday they introduced the Adidas Crazylight. This new Glow/Earth Adizero is the next in the long line of launches.

You can already now go in and pre-order the new Adidas F50 Adizero Glow/Earth – just €209.

The technical aspect of the football boot is pretty much status quo. So even though Adidas are in a free fall, when it comes to the weight of their football boots, the scales still read 150 grams on the new Adizero, which is still a weight that is hard to knock. This is a football boot that won’t hold you back.

On the upper, Adidas have kept the very thin version of the technologically advanced Hybridtouch-material, which was made a part of the last generation of the F50-collection. The Hybridtouch gives an incredibly light, yet very supple upper.

The Hybridtouch upper is made to emulate leather and hereby combine all the advantages of both synthetic and leather. It is an incredibly supple and thin material that wraps itself around your foot, yet also takes up less water. In addition, it has a longer lifetime, and doesn't 'overstretch' as leather can do. The Hybridtouch material has been chosen based on feedback from the professional Adidas footballers, who were asking for a softer upper than the previous generation.

If we were to highlight one thing from the new generation of Adidas F50 Adizero, the way Adidas designed the heel is probably what we would pick. It is made from a semi-transparent material, which gives a fresh and challenging element to the boots design, which will be worn by players like Bastian Schweinsteiger and Diego Costa.

The studs are still triangular as we know it from the Traxion 2.0 stud configuration, but this time around they are more blade shaped on the one side, which allows for an increased contact area with the ground, when the energy is transferred. This ensures an effective kick-off, both in relation to acceleration and direction change. The location of the studs is also thought through, with the bladed side placed in the area used for your kick-off.

The newest colourway of the Adizero F50-collection is called the Glow/Earth and is a mixture between a yellow and green colour. At the same time Adidas have made this semi-transparent texture on the back-part on the foot, which gives new life to the design of the boot. What do you think about the new boot? Do you like it?
