The defending Champions League winners from Bayern Munich have launched a new away shirt, which the club will use in their hunt for more success in the coming season. We have taken a look at the elegant and quite unique shirt right here.
Bayern Munich are already now busy, preparing to defend and if they even dare dream it, better last seasons trophy haul. The club from the south of Germany didn't just win the domestic league and trophy, but also managed to win the most prestigious club tournament of them all, the Champions League. Arguably the most impressive part, was the manner in which they won the trophies, the stand-out performance being when they famously beat Barcelona 7-0 on aggregate, in the Semi finals of the Champions League.
To lead the club to victory and further glory, the club has already, together with Adidas, launched two new shirts, which they will wear in the coming season. The elegant home shirt, in the clubs red colours, as well as a cool blue shirt, which they will wear in the Champions League. Adidas are however far from done spoiling the Bayern fans and now they unveil the classy, new white away shirt.
It is far from the first time in the clubs long and proud history that they have opted for a white away shirt and last season they also wore white, which seemed to serve them well. As they say in the football world, never change a winning team and that has to count shirts too.
Some might associate white with being a little boring, but that is far from the case here, as Bayern have together with Adidas, found some quite unique inspiration for the complimenting shorts and socks. The brown shorts and tones on the shirt intentionally make it resemble the famous lederhosen, which is traditional clothing in Bavaria that is often seen in connection with the world famous Oktoberfest.
This years club sponsor is again T-mobile, who have over the years turned into quite a loyal partner of Bayern Munich. You would think the German telephone company is pretty pleased with the attention Bayern Munich have been getting, following their impressive season.
The shirt has a couple of really nice details, like for example the old fashioned, yet incredibly elegant and stylish collar. Style and elegance are two qualities that the new Bayern Munich manager, Pep Guardiola, will be trying to instil into his new squad and it shouldn't be hard, because the players there already have it in abundance.
As we know it from Adidas, then the shirt is made from the nice ClimaCool material, which is designed to divert sweat away from the body and keep your temperature at a constantly comfortable level. This is just as much for the sweating fans, watching their team in the dying minutes of the game, as it is for the players fighting on the pitch.
Bayern Munich have style and this is very apparent with their new away shirt, which we will be seeing the German champions of Europe wearing this season.
