On this crazy boot launch day Puma are also ready to join in – and why not go in the complete opposite direction, in relation to Adidas' predominantly black theme, with a very very green boot? The new Puma evoSPEED will be a Green/White colourway, and will be seen on the feet of Clichy, Agüero, Falcao and Giroud, among others. Check out the brand new colourway right here, and feel free to share your thoughts on it in the comment box below the article.

Earlier this year, Puma introduced their evoSPEED series, which took over from the previous Velocity series . With focus on low weight, fit and flex. The boot got a new look and has lost a substantial amount of weight, and was quickly adopted by some of the worlds absolute top attackers such as Agüero. Falcao and Gomez.

A key change on the boot is visual, as the evoSPEED has got the new lightning shaped visual design – of course, inspired by their fellow Puma-user “Mr. Speed”, Usain Bolt. Lightning bolt, Usain Bolt, it all matches up.

The new evoSPEED colourway is now ready to take over and it comes in both a microfibre and a leather version. The microfibre boot is made with an upper of Japanese one-layer microfibre, which wraps nicely around the foot and provides a precise touch on the ball.

Moreover, the boot is equipped with Puma's GripTex technology, which is a textured upper surface with little sticky bumps that ensure ball grip even in wet weather conditions. The evoSPEED has also been made with comfort in mind, which is, for example, displayed by it's EverFit cage that functions as a skeleton that provides stability to the upper, as well as, ensures a tight and supportive fit.

The leather version has been made with a soft kangaroo leather upper, which both provides an elegant touch on the ball as well as also wrapping itself nicely around the foot, thus ensuring an impressive level of comfort. Both versions are equipped with Puma's DuoFlex sole, which is designed to provide very natural movement when accelerating.

One of the absolute hottest names, in connection with this boot, Radamel Falcao, says the following about the new colourway: “I really like all the different colourways that Puma offer me, as I like the variation and how the boots display themselves on the pitch. I have been wearing evoSPEED since May this year, and I feel very confident when wearing them.”

The new Puma evoSPEED colourway has already been shipped out to the players and you will already be able to see Agüero, Clichy and Giroud wearing the boots for this weeks Champions League round.

You can already pre-order your Puma evoSPEED Green/White/Blue – just €181. The boot is expected in stock primo December, well in time to land under the Christmas tree.

What do you think of Falcao, Giroud, Clichy, Agüero and Co.'s new colourway? Is the colour too flashy, or do you agree with Falcao, that it's only cool, that the boot stands out? Feel free to share your thoughts on the evoSPEED and the new colourway in the comment field just below.
