Unisport Boot Spots | The best from the international break

      05.09.2016

      Written by Mathias Boughey-Svendsen

It’s Monday and we are here to show you that the international break isn’t all bad, as we present the best boot spots from around the globe.

Michail Antonio (England) - Umbro Velocita Grenadine/White/Lime Green Cactus

Following his first England call-up in the’ first Sam Allerdyce squad, Michail Antonio saw it fit to switch boots to the newest Umbro colourway, which comes in a grenadine design. Stunning boots for what we are sure was some seriously eventful days.

Marcus Rashford (England U21) - Nike Mercurial Superfly IV R9 Heritage

Following the Mercurial generation shift players have all gone over to the fifth version, but it looks like Marcus Rashford is holding back a bit and has hopped back in the last colourway he wore. The Nike Mercurial Heritage ID Superfly was made in honour of Ronaldo Lima’s first Mercurial boots from 1998. I don’t blame him for not wanting to give these up just yet…

Sido Jombati (Wycombe Wanderers) - Nike Match Mercurial

Speaking of old Mercurial football boots! Up pops Sido Jombati in our hunt for good boot spots. Wycombe do play pretty far down the leagues, so these images are the first of him since he also wore the Match Mercurial in February. We hope the photographers get with the program, because these boots need to be highlighted more!

Marco Verratti (Italy) - PUMA evoTOUCH

Following his very lengthy layoff with injury, Marco Verratti is back in action. In his first game for Italy since last year, he turned up in the new PUMA evoTOUCH, which he played a big part in designing. At the same time he also got to showcase the new Italy away-shirt, which is a work of art!

Ben Reeves (MK Dons) - adidas F50 Adizero

Quite the throwback to 2012 from Ben Reeves, who decided on wearing an old pair of adidas F50 adizero football boots this weekend. We understand why he kept a hold of them for this long too, because they really were one of the sharpest speed boots ever made.

Gor Malakyan (Armenia) - Nike Mercurial Vapor XI Pitch Park

Watching a rather good game of football from Denmark, we noticed these on the feet of their opponents from Armenia. A pair of the Pitch Dark Pack Nike Mercurial Vapor XI boots. Stole the show for us, but shouldn’t distract from the stunning new Denmark shirt either.
