Three stripes at the World Cup

Adidas has been the FIFA World cups number one sponsor since 1970 and has also created some of the Most iconic shirts ever over the years for a LOT of countries such as Germany, Spain, Argentina, Japan, Mexico and Sweden just to name a few. And if you scroll down you can definitely see that Adidas has not lost it over the years.

Three stripes at the World Cup

Argentina

Home

The Argentinian shirt for the 2022 World Cup is what we all expected it to be. The classic sky blue and white stripes with the AFA- badge that will be forever timeless and some black Adidas details as the new logo which makes its debut this tournament. But what makes this year's kit stand out from the previous years is the back. Instead of just doing a ”copy and paste” from the front to the back Adidas has actually instead of habibi all the stripes the same width, there are two thinner sky blue stripes in the center, with two wider ones on the outside of the shirt. These larger stripes are about three times as wide as the ones in the middle. This gives the defenders something to look at when trying to catch Lionel & co. The back also features the sol de mayo which is a great detail to make the shirt really look like the classic Argentinian flag which we think looks really good.

Away

The away shirt on the other hand is nothing like we've seen before. It has two different types of purple with silver details. The shirt also features flames that is a inspiration of the Sol de Mayo to really make it special. We think this one can be an one of the best looking shirts in action from adidas. Mexico

Home

Last time we saw Mexico with a green kit from Adidas was in the 2018 World Cup. This year we will see the tricolor with a kit inspired by the Mayas Quetzalcoatl and together with the new crest that was introduced in November 2021 we really think this kit will be one of the best.

Away

Mexico’s away shirt is a special one with its “wonder white” and darker red colors that really fits the graphic and crest. Get your Mexico kit today at Unisport!

Spain

Home

Spain this World Cup is one of the favorites to win it and Adidas has given them a very nice and clean kit to carry them over the finish line. As we often have seen before Spain are going with their classic red shirt with blue and gold details. This shirt will also feature the new logo for both Adidas and the national team.

Away

Adidas has also been generous to give Spain one of probably the most iconic designs an away shirt will have this world cup. With its sky blue graphic pattern and 3 Stripes in the colors of the Spanish flag on both shoulders and putting the crest in the middle of the chest - this shirt will go down as an instant classic. Japan

Home

The shirts that have been given to the Japanese players are as expected - blue with white details. The difference this year is that the white graphic on the new home shirt is made up of lines and showcases a flock of origami cranes, inspired by the federation badge on the chest. The home kit will also feature white shorts and blue socks.

Away

The away shirt for Japan has been given a modern look with white being the most dominant colour with some navy details. You’ll also find the same origami design as on the home shirt but in a blue and red design only on the sleeves. Support the ‘Samurai blue’ by getting your own shirt at Unisport today!

Germany

Home

Looking back at previous kits for Germany there are mostly white and not so much of the black and gold details. But this time adidas has really given us some of that black and gold that has been seen in the details previous years. The main color is still white but has a big black line through the middle of the shirt looking almost like an black/white Ajax shirt but with the logo in the middle of the chest in gold. As with most previous Germany home kits, the German flag is incorporated into the shirt. The German flag can be seen on the collar and in terms of a stripe that goes from the sides to the bottom hem.

Away

The away is black with maroon details all over the shirt and a gold logo with gold stripes on the shoulders. Support Die Mannschaft with your new shirt from unisport today!
