Disguised in an optical illusion PUMA released the first evoSPEED 17 on the 5th of December. Now they fully unveil the 2017 version of their fastest boot in tropically infused hues.

The thinking and mantra behind the engineering of the PUMA evoSPEED is still the same, and the SL 17 is still the lightest match-ready football boot in the world. Clocking in at 120 grams it offers you that edge and feeling of being insanely light on your feet that some of the best players in the world use to devastating effect. I mean, what stronger proof of the boots attributes do you need than seeing what Agüero, Griezmann and Marco Reus do on a weekly basis.

For some players, including some of the professional superstars who have access to unlimited football boots, the ultra-thin upper and “match day only” boots are a little too extreme. They want something that is still extremely lightweight, but feels a little sturdier. It’s all down to due preference and to accommodate their need for a slightly tougher boot, a 2017 version of the very popular PUMA evoSPEED SL-S 17 has also been made. Made to last longer than the 10 game minimum the SL promises.
