Unisport Boot Spots: Totti tongue, CTR's and crazy combinations

Written by Mathias Boughey-Svendsen

Another week and another round of boot spots, which brings you the best and most interesting boots worn by the pros last week. See what we pulled out the hat here:

Troy Deeney (Watford) - adidas X 16.1 Red Limit & Blue Blast Pack

Lots of you sent this one our way over the weekend via our Instagram DM, after spotting Troy Deeney rocking this homemade “Tricks” combination. Thanks for all the heads up and please do keep them coming guys. It actually looks pretty sick, so he might even inspire other players to do the same. Would you consider wearing two different colours like this?

Neal Eardley (Northampton Town) - Nike CTR360 Maestri III

This weekend saw Neal Eardley pull out somewhat of a modern classic, as he rocked the Nike CTR360 Maestri III, which has to be considered one of the best made boots from Nike. They also featured prominently on our recent ‘Top 5 best boots from Nike’-video, which you can watch on our YouTube channel. It’s well worth the watch.

Andreas Cornelius (FC Copenhagen) - Nike Mercurial Superfly V Anti-Clog

From an old Nike boot to the newest innovation about. Until recently, the Nike Anti-Clog technology could not be added to the Nike Mercurial Superfly boots, because of their anatomical soleplate design. A way to create a totally mud-repellent sole on the Mercurial has now been identified, and with the Radiation Flare Pack you can expect to see the boots on the feet of the pros. The question is, will Nike be bringing this to us regular players?

Francesco Totti (AS Roma) - Nike Tiempo Legend 6 Custom

When Nike upgrade their colourways, they always make sure to take care of their legends. Francesco Totti refuses to play without his boot tongue and as a part of the Radiation Flare Pack, he has now been given his new Tiempo. A thing of beauty!

Dele Alli (Tottenham) - adidas ACE 17+ PureControl Blue Blast

Your Premier League player of the month for January. A young man with a very bright future wearing the adidas ACE 17+ PureControl Blue Blast. They couldn’t help his team to victory against Liverpool, but don’t let that distract you from how good the kit to boot transition looks.

Saido Mané (Liverpool) - Nike Mercurial Vapor XI Spark Brilliance

It really was Mané against boys, when Liverpool dismantled Spurs this weekend. He returned back from the Africa Cup of Nations and extinguished the fire that had been burning in his absence. He is stubbornly holding onto the Vapor XI launch colourway, which I’m sure Nike aren’t too happy about, but as long as he keep performing I’m sure Liverpool fans won’t mind.
