Few sneakers have influenced the footwear-scene as much as the Nike Air Max. The streetwear masterpiece has always been on the feet of footballers and now it will influence the beautiful game in an entirely new way.

New ground is being broken by Nike, as the legendary Air Max silo moves from pavement to stadium pitch for the first time ever. We have in recent years seen many of the major football brands boldly and very successfully transfer many of their famous football boot silhouettes from pitch to pavement. With the new Nike ‘Revolution Pack’ things go the opposite way, with a 4-silo set of football boots that honour the heritage of four of the most famous Nike Air Max instalments.

Nike actually already warmed up to this launch back in August of last year, when they introduced the memorable ‘Heritage Pack’ that saw the exact same concept of moving famous Air Max designs to football pitches. Back then Nike did however not make firm ground versions, but kept the designs exclusively to the FootballX indoor and street shoes. That changes this time, as the popularity of the previous FootballX pack has paved the way for FG versions with the Nike ‘Revolution Pack’. Hey, if you’ve got it, flaunt it!

Some of you may already be A1 sneakerheads that could identify each Air Max sneaker from the football boot pictures in the gallery. However, If you can’t quite put a name on the kicks that you have all undoubtedly seen blessing the streets at some point in your life, then here is a list of the corresponding Air Max sneakers.

  • - Nike Mercurial Superfly V = Nike Air Max 90 OG
  • - Nike Magista Obra 2 = Nike Air Max 97 OG
  • - Nike Hypervenom Phantom 3 DF = Nike Air Max 95
  • - Nike Tiempo Legend 6 = Nike Air Max 1 OG

This new 4-silo drop from Nike is very much classified as a Limited Edition launch and with stock numbers at a premium and demand super high, I strongly recommend you don’t “Um and Ah” too long with these. But then again, why would you even?

They certainly won’t be on stock by the time you see them making their on-pitch debut, which will be during the forthcoming international break. Three massive friendlies have been scheduled, which will give Nike the chance to show off their new streetwear/football-fusion on the biggest stages. Keep your boot spotting eyes peeled for when France face Spain, Italy meet Holland and England play Germany. If you feel like showing off, then write us a DM on Instagram, with which 12 players you think will wear the boots (Four in each game).
