Nike and Liverpool have already launched their home and away shirts during the summer. The Liverpool shirts are always met with high expectations. And both the home and away shirt have been extremely popular already. Now it’s time for us to meet the third shirt.
The shirt is yellow with some nice details. On the collar we see a chequered pattern with red squares. The same pattern is shown in the cuffs. The Nike logo is the classic Future design. And the Liverpool- and sponsor logo are made in red as well.
The design draws inspiration from The Kop - maybe the most iconic stand in football. It has become the voice of Liverpool Football Club. The creative community that for several generations have created banners, flags, fanzines & chants that have formed a cultural tapestry that this shirt will celebrate. To ensure true authenticity, Nike and Liverpool have partnered up with ‘Spion Kop’, an organisation of Liverpool fans and custodians of the Kop and the culture it has come to represent.
