The Nike Classic Cortez is an updated version of the original Cortez. It offers a retro look with a modern water repellant layer. The upper is made primarily from nylon, for a sporty look and improved durability. The midsole is made from EVA foam, that offers a soft shock absorption without adding too much wright. The outsole is made from durable rubber, with pattern for improved grip. Originally developed back in 1972 as a dedicated running shoe, with a focus on low weight and protection against moisture. 35 years on and the model still continues to be widely popular.
