The fit
The Alpha Elite uses Mizuno's redeveloped Engineered Fit Last NEO, designed to give a performance-focused fit for modern players. The knit upper is made to wrap the foot closely, and the revamped upper is built for a good fit when you dribble at pace.
Enerzy cushioning
Enerzy is the cushioning material Mizuno also uses in its running shoes. In the Alpha Elite, the Enerzy XP sockliner combines softness and energy return at a light weight, and Enerzy in the heel is there for impact absorption and a bit of propulsion.
Outsole and studs
A lightweight nylon outsole carries Mizuno's triangular Alpha studs, designed to help you accelerate when you change direction.
Which surface is it made for?
The Alpha Elite is made as an FG (firm ground) boot, for natural, short grass that is firm underfoot. It is not designed for the extra friction of artificial grass. The soleplate is always listed on the product page, and you should check it before you order.
