The English national team, also know as The Three Lions, is with their Scottish neighbors, the two oldest national teams in the world. Back in 1872 these two nations played against each other in the first official International football match. much has happened since then and this summer England is going to participate for the 9th time at the Euro's. The team has never won the tournament before and their best position was the third place back in 1968, with players such as Bobby Moore, Gordon Banks and Sir Bobby Charlton. They also played in the Semifinal back in 1996 with Tony Adams, Paul Gascoigne and top scorer of the tournament, Alan Shearer, on their team. Now the calendar says 2016 and this summer it is the Euro in France and here the English players and coach Hodgson can battle and conquer their first ever Euro trophy.
