It has FlyWire in the sides, which means the weight is kept low, without any compromises being made to the shoes stability.
Your feet will be well aired on the warmest days, as you get good ventilation with a mesh upper and the asymmetrical stitching means the pressure on the upper and your foot as a result is not too great.

The Nike Free Concept originates in Standford, where Nike looked into the training methods of the very successful athletes there and found out they trained barefoot. 3 of Nike's most esteemed and creative innovators went to work on this basis and in 2002 they began work on the first Nike Free by mapping the foots biomechanics.
8 years later the first Nike Free went on sale and the result was a shoe that "understood" your feet, how they land, where the pressure is applied. It was an unconventional shoe, but sparked the interest of many around the world.
