The midsole foam is the quickest way to tell these models apart. Here is what each one is built on.

Adizero Evo SL

224 g in UK 8.5. The midsole is a layer of LIGHTSTRIKE PRO foam, with a 6 mm drop (38 mm heel, 32 mm forefoot). The design is inspired by the Pro Evo 1 from the Adizero family. adidas made it for running and for everyday wear.

EXO, ATR and Woven variants are listed as separate products. The figures above refer to the standard Evo SL.

Adizero Boston 13

A faster trainer with a layered midsole. LIGHTSTRIKE PRO is combined with LIGHTSTRIKE foam and glass-fibre ENERGYRODS 2.0. The LIGHTTRAXION outsole has Continental™ rubber at the toe. 260 g in UK 8.5, 6 mm drop.

Hyperboost Run

adidas calls it a lightweight daily trainer for easy runs and tempo runs. It runs on Hyperboost Pro foam. The upper is woven Primeweave, with 3D-printed elements around the heel. Continental™ rubber sits in the forefoot. 248 g in UK 8.5, 6 mm drop.

Supernova Rise 3

The Dreamstrike+ midsole blends soft and stable cushioning. At 8 mm (37 mm heel, 29 mm forefoot), it has the highest drop on this page. Primeweave upper with laser perforations. LIGHTTRAXION outsole. Listed weight: 272 g.

Galaxy 8

The entry model. Cloudfoam midsole, textile upper with synthetic overlays, 5 mm drop. A simple first pair for short runs and daily use.

The product descriptions give no size for the Supernova Rise 3 and Galaxy 8 weights. Compare those two with care.

Which model for which runner?

A first pair for two or three short runs a week points to the Galaxy 8.
Training regularly and adding one faster session? adidas built the Hyperboost Run for both.
Faster runs and intervals are the Boston 13's job.
For one shoe that goes on runs and stays on afterwards, look at the Evo SL.
Supernova Rise 3 for runners used to a higher drop.

Switching between models

Drop matters more than the logo. Moving from the Supernova Rise 3 (8 mm) to a 6 mm Adizero or Hyperboost is a small change. Keep the first few runs in a new model short anyway.
