Pegasus, Vomero or Structure?

Three road models with different cushioning. The midsole and Nike's own description show where they differ.

Pegasus 42 or Pegasus 41?

Both versions are on this page. The cushioning setup is the main change. The 41 has two Air Zoom units, one in the heel and one in the forefoot, surrounded by ReactX foam. The 42 has one curved Air Zoom unit along the full length of the shoe, with a ReactX foam midsole.

The 42 also sits on the updated MR-10 2.0 last and has more toe spring. Nike lists a 10 mm drop and roughly 300 g in men's US 10.

Did the 41 feel tight at the toes? Nike gave the 42 a bit more room in the toes and forefoot.

Zoom Fly 6 and the carbon plate

The Zoom Fly 6 pairs ZoomX foam with a full-length carbon-fibre plate. Nike says the plate adds efficiency and responsiveness. It is lighter than the Zoom Fly 5. The outsole is a thin layer of rubber, kept light for the road.

Why it matters: a light, plated shoe is built for pace. Keep it for faster sessions and race days. Put the easy kilometres in a Pegasus or Vomero.

ACG Pegasus Trail

Road-running responsiveness, built for trails. Nike designed it for grip on trails, including wet ground, with plush, shock-absorbing cushioning. The forefoot is wider, giving the toes room to spread.

In short: gravel and forest paths call for the Trail. Tarmac stays with the road Pegasus.

Gore-Tex (GTX) versions of the Pegasus 42, Vomero 18, ACG Pegasus Trail and ACG Zegama Trail are listed as separate products.

Sizing

Nike supplies the size measurements shown on each product page. Compare them with your foot length for every model you order. A new last, as on the Pegasus 42, changes how a shoe fits.
