A women's version is not always a copy of the men's. The adidas Supernova Rise 3 shows it. The women's version lists a 7 mm drop, with a 35 mm heel and a 28 mm forefoot. The men's lists 8 mm.

A few details the table leaves out. The Supernova Rise 3 has a central strike zone in the heel, designed to match your foot-strike pattern. PUMA lists the Velocity Nitro 5 for runners with neutral pronation and puts its average lifespan at about 800 km.

Off-road and wet days

The Nike ACG Pegasus Trail brings road-running responsiveness to the trails. Nike built it with cushioning for longer outings and grip for wet ground.
