Speed, control or touch

That is the choice adidas gives you. F50 is the speed boot. Predator is the control boot, with grip elements on the upper. Copa is built for touch.

Predator has the longest story. It started in 1994 with rubber fins on the upper, and today's Predator 26 carries the idea on with a NanoStrike+ upper and PowerSpine in the outsole. Alongside the three lines sits the Copa Mundial, the classic in the adidas range.

Four levels, from Elite down

adidas sells its boots as Elite, Pro, League and Club. Elite sits at the top and Pro comes next. League is the mid-level boot. Club is the entry level. Lower levels use simpler materials and cost less, and the product page lists what each version includes.

Know your sole code

adidas marks its soles FG, MG, SG, AG, TF and IC. MG covers dry grass and artificial grass in one boot. SG is for soft, wet pitches only. Pick the code for the pitch you play on most, then narrow the list with the surface filter above the products.

Size each boot on its own

Lines and levels use different materials, so your size in one adidas boot is not automatically your size in another. Measure your foot in the evening in match socks and compare the centimetres with the size guide on the product page. Kids' boots have "Kids" in the product name.
