What the Furon Pro is built for

The Furon is New Balance's speed boot, made for players who accelerate, cut and stop sharply. The Pro keeps that idea in a light package at around 180 g, so it suits wingers, forwards and anyone who plays on the move with the ball.

What defines it

  • A one-piece mesh upper with a thin TPU film, which is lightweight and breathable and gives a form-fitting feel between your foot and the ball
  • Central lacing with a knitted collar, for easy access at the heel and a secure, locked-in fit
  • A lightweight nylon outsole plate with T-shaped studs, for multidirectional traction at speed
  • A dedicated Speed Ctrl stud, designed to support control during sudden stops and sharp pivots

Which size should you order?

New Balance recommends ordering half a size larger than your normal shoe size. That is the most useful thing to know before you buy, because the fit is snug by design. If you are between sizes, check the size guide and think about the socks you play in.

Which surface is it made for?

The Furon Pro FG is designed for firm ground: natural, short grass that is firm underfoot, though it can be slightly wet. It is not made for the extra friction of artificial grass.
